Why Renzo Piano?

The architect Renzo Piano was born in Genoa in 1937, and has a long record of outstanding buildings, including a number of museums, all of which were groundbreaking in one way or another:

  • Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (with Richard Rogers).
  • Atelier Brancusi, Paris.
  • Menil Collection, Houston.
  • Cy Twombly Gallery, Houston.
  • Fondation Beyeler, Riehen.
  • Nouméa Cultural Centre, New Caledonia.
