Tirdad Zolghadr

Tirdad Zolghadr is an independent writer/curator, writing for Frieze and other publications, and editor-at-large for Cabinet magazine.

Zolghadr has curated events in a wide range of venues, currently curating the United Arab Emirates national pavilion, Venice 09, and the long term project Lapdogs of the Bourgeoisie (with Nav Haq). He teaches at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College NY, and is a curatorial advisor to the Artist Pension Trust and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Zolghadr is a founding member of the Shahrzad collective, also filming and directing the documentaries Tehran 1380 (2002, with Solmaz Shahbazi) and Tropical Modernism (2006). His novel Softcore (2007) is translated into German, Italian and French.
